I am a contemporary artist creating truly unique art in various media from my purpose built studio on Bute’s west coast. I graduated from Edinburgh College of Art in 1997 and have spent the following years working as an artist around the world and teaching the techniques.
Taking inspiration from my surroundings and my love of animals, I want my art to capture that most elusive of qualities…the personality, the very essence of my subject. I live and work on Bute with my husband and two children along with our collection of animals.
Inspired by my surroundings, my artwork captures the gorgeous nature of animals and the natural world. Illustrating is also a large part of my work and I love working with clients to bring their vision to life. I recently worked with Isle of Cumbrae Distillers Ltd. to create a commemorative bottle design for the Waverley paddle steamer.
Maps feature frequently in my work and I have designed maps for a variety of organisations including the RSPB and Kames Castle Cottages.
There's a story behind each and every piece of art I create, often documented on my social accounts.
