John Lawson is a retired Headteacher who lives on Bute. He has worked in Glasgow, Sardinia, Malawi and on the island as Principal of Rothesay Joint Campus.
John works in different media including water colours, permanent pen and framed stained glass.
He is currently working on a series of pictures of animals from all over the world, decorated with multicultural ethnic patterns. The work is a celebration of wildlife, inspired by visits to museums where exhibits incorporate animals and patterns in their design. Many of the pictures depict island wildlife too.
