Carol Nunan Printmaker
Printmaker

Before I made my first original print, I was a full time mother of a toddler and a four year old, looking to carve out some time to be myself.
Today, I am a full-time artist-printmaker. I make contemporary landscape and seascape monotype and collagraph prints inspired by the wild places of Scotland and the North East of England. My original prints are either complete one offs, or made in small variable editions of twenty (so still unique). They are available for sale through my website and art galleries in the UK. I also sell a range of affordable gifts - box framed reproduction mini prints, mounted open edition prints, glass coasters and greeting cards.
I recently moved from Northumberland to Rothesay with my husband. I am revelling in the abundance of fresh inspiration, surrounded by sea and hills of the Isle of Bute. On a daily basis I am marvelling at the constant changes in the light and the gorgeous soft colour palette that is unique to this land and seascape. There is such a rich natural world of seabirds and other wildlife and the island is steeped in an ancient history going back to neolithic times, all of which form the basis of my art.
