There’s a wide range of materials in the colourful creations that I make in my seaside studio. Fabric, thread, paper, metal foil, found and natural objects. If I can get it under my sewing machine I will have a go at stitching it! Most of the results are intended, primarily, to give enjoyment but some are useful too. Book covers and bags, wall hangings and textile jewellery are just some of the things that come into being in such inspirational surroundings.
Last year some little wizards started appearing and now some of them are looking to leave home either fully grown or smuggling themselves out in do-it-yourself kits.
Working in a studio with sea views it might seem obvious that Alison stitches seascapes but she does much else besides. Book covers, cards, felt wizards and kits to try yourself are all here too.
